Adamawa: CSOs Advocate Gender Responsive Education Budgeting

Concerned Civil Society Organisations in Adamawa State have advocated for Gender Responsive Education Budgeting with a view to enhancing the standard of education in the society.

According to CSOs, an improved budgetary allocation to the education sector will go along way in encouraging boys' and girls' enrollment in the sector.

The CSOs advocated this while participating in the 2025 budget defense held at the Adamawa State House of Assembly following the presentation of the proposed budget by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State.

The budget defense was organised by the House Standing Committee on Education of the House of Assembly which drew Ministry of Education of Human Capital Development and departments and agencies.

The CSOs, who also participated in the budget defense, advocated for gender responsive budgetary allocation, saying that an enhanced budgetary allocation to education will go along way in improving the standard of education.
