Police Nab 2 for Alleged Car Theft in Adamawa



The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 2 suspects accused of stealing Toyota Rav4 with registration number RSH 548 BB.


Those arrested include Yusuf Mohd Isah, 25 years of Wuro Hausa, Yola South LGA and Faisal  Mahmud, 30 years a resident of Kolere ward, Mubi North LGA.


A release by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Wednesday, said that the police have apprehended the suspects and recovered the vehicle.


He explained that the arrest followed investigation conducted since 23rd, December, 2024, following a complaint from the owner, Mr. Aliyu Umar of Wuro Hausa Yola South LGA. 


He disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, had deployed police detectives led by DPO Yola SP, Habib Muhammed Musa, who arrested the suspects and recovered the vehicle.

Adamawa Forest Guard Stabs 25 Yrs Old Man to Death

A 29 years old forest guard identified as Sunday Markus, has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly stabbing a 25 years old Isa Hamadu to death. News Platform  Sunday was remanded at the correctional center by the Chief Magistrate Court I sitting in Yola, Adamawa  State Capital presided by Magistrate Lawan Musa. The defendant who hails from Pallam community in Madagali LGA, was remanded following his arraignment before the court by the Adamawa State Police Command. Arraigning the defendant, the prosecuting police officer, Inspector Hamza Abdullahi, informed the court that the defendant was arrested on the 2nd January, 2026. The defendant allegedly stabbed Isa Hamadu in the stomach, and that the victim was confirmed dead by the medical doctor at cottage hospital Madagali when he was rushed for medical attention. Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, received the name of Leader Andrew Leneke, from Demsa LGA, for screening and confirmation as Commissioner.
