Cross section of family members, friends and well wishers of the newly promoted police officers on Tuesday, rolled out drums in celebration as the Commissioner of Police Adamawa State, Morris Dankombo decorated 110 promoted officers.
The 110 newly promoted officers were decorated with their new ranks by the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, at the Police Officers Mess at an event which attracted mammoth crowth.
The event was graced by dignitaries including the Member representing Yola North constituency at the Adamawa State, Chief Judge Adamawa State, OGC Chairmen of Song, Numan, Yola North and Ganye, top police officers, other sister security agencies, traditional and religious leaders, business men among others.
Among those decorated include 15 Superintendents of Police (SPs) who were promoted to the ranks of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSPs) and 11 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) who were decorated with their ranks of Superintendents of Police (SPs).
The CP also decorated 84 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) with their new ranks of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSPs).
The ceremony marks a significant milestone in the career of the dedicated officers as they have advanced to a higher stage in their service to the nation.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, congratulated the officers and charged them to be committed and dedicated to duty and exhibit high sense of professionalism.
CP Dankombo told them that much is now expected from them because according to him, much has been given to them.
He urged the officers to see their promotions as a success and charged them to redouble their efforts in keeping Adamawa State safe and secured.
Responding on behalf of those promoted, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Numan, CSP Alfred Futuwe, expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Police Service Commission, and the Force Management team for finding them worthy for the promotion and the CP for decorating them.
CSP Futuwe assured that they will not only going to be punctual to duty but should also expect from them constant obedient, absolute loyalty, undoubted integrity, gracious courtesy and maximum efficiency.
