Rep Kobis Commissions New Blocks of Classrooms in Constituency






As part of effort towards complementing Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led administration's effort in  improving education sector in Adamawa state, the member representing Guyuk/Shelleng at the House of Representatives, Hon. Kobis Ari Thimnu, has commissioned blocks of classrooms for his constituency.


Hon. Kobis commissioned 2 blocks of 3 classrooms at Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) Gunda and 1 block of 6 classrooms at Government Secondary School (GSS) Guyuk LGA.


Aside commissioning the newly constructed blocks of classrooms, the Lawmaker equipped same with furniture making it more conducive for learning as well as donated instructional materials to the benefitting schools for academic development.


Some of the instructional materials distributed include customized exercise books, pens, complete school uniforms for students, and additional resources designed to alleviate some of the challenges faced by students in the area.




This initiative marks a transformative moment for students and educators in Guyuk Local Government Area (LGA)


The ceremony was graced by His Royal Highness, Kwandi Nunguraya, Dr. Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, LGC Chairmen, former members of the state assembly, commissioners, district heads, and other notable personalities from within and outside Adamawa State. 


Speaking at the event, HRH Dr. Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II commended Hon. Thimnu’s commitment to education, noting that the initiative would leave a lasting impact on the lives of the students and the community at large.


"This is not just an investment in infrastructure; it is an investment in the future of our children, our community, and our nation," HRH stated.


In his remarks, Hon. Thimnu, reaffirmed his dedication to addressing the educational needs of his constituency.


He highlighted the importance of quality education as a tool for empowerment and expressed his desire to see more children in his constituency thrive academically.


Cross section of community members expressed immense gratitude to Hon. Thimnu for his vision and dedication, underscoring the positive ripple effects these classrooms and resources will have on education in the region.


This development signifies a major step forward for education in Guyuk LGA, providing students with better learning conditions and furthering the cause of educational equity in Adamawa State.
