Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended 3 for allegedly vandalizing transformer cables in Girei LGA.
Those arrested include Rabiu Ali, 28, Muhammad Musa, 42, and Abubakar Usman, 18, of various addresses.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya, Nguroje, said that the accused conspired with three others now at large and vandalised the cables.
SP Yahaya Nguroje added that the operatives of the command acted on credible information received on the 6th February, 2025 which led to the arrest of the suspects.
According to him, those nabbed allegedly vandalised the transformer cables situated at Wuro Dole which connect part of Girei and Wuro Dole.
"The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, while commending the DPO Girei and his men for effective policing services, directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of CID to take over the case for discreet investigation and go after the fleeing suspects.
"The Police Boss urges members of the public to report anyone seen around electrical transformer for immediate action". SP Nguroje added.
He assured that those arrested would be charged to court for prosecution upon completion of investigation
