Fintiri Establishes Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the conversion of the Adamawa Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership Coordinating Unit into the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency (AIPA).

Governor Fintiri also announced the appointment of Halilu Malabu as the Executive Secretary of AIPA, and tasked him with the responsibility of driving the state’s investment.

This is contained in a release by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and made available to newsmen on Friday.

According to the release, the transformation aligns with the Fintiri administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth, attracting investments, and ensuring sustainable development across the state.

"The upgrade follows the passage of the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency Law 2024, which was introduced officially and assented to by the Governor on 4th December, 2024.

"The establishment of AIPA provides a solid legal framework to implement investment policies effectively, making Adamawa a more attractive destination for investors," Fintiri stated.

He congratulated Mr. Malabu on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to leverage his wealth of experience to reposition Adamawa as a business-friendly state.

“The transformation of our investment promotion unit into a full-fledged agency is a strategic step to unlock the economic potential of Adamawa State. I urge the new Executive Secretary to bring his expertise to bear in ensuring that AIPA facilitates meaningful partnerships, attracts investments, and promotes economic development,” Governor Fintiri stated.

He called on all stakeholders, including private sector players, development partners, and investors, to collaborate with AIPA in harnessing the abundant economic opportunities within the state.
