A drug dealer, Safiyanu Abdullahi, has admitted stabbing a man identified as Danlami Danjuma of Gurin in Fufore Local Government Area, Adamawa state to death.
The 19 year old Safiyanu who hails from Unguwan Jauro Maikano, Chigari district in Fufore LGA, stabbed Danjuma with a knife which resulted to his demise.
Although the exact reason for the act could not be ascertained by NEWS PLATFORM but the police told chief magistrate court I in Yola that the duo had misunderstanding as a result of which fight ensued.
Already, the court presided by chief magistrate Mohammed Abdullahi Digil, ordered that that the accused be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the matter to the 29th March, 2022.
The order followed the arraignment of the defendant on a count charge of culpable homicide which runs contrary to section 191 of the state penal code law.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Sergent Sawe Nicholas, informed the court that the defendant committed the act on the 22nd February, 2022 at Chigari, and that he was arrested following a report by one Usman Danjuma of NEPA road in Jimeta.
Safiyanu told NEWS PLATFORM that he was high on drugs and could not be able to give vivid account of what transpired between him and the deceased.
