LCCN SEEKS END TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING, GBV, ILLEGAL MIGRATION
The Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) has advocated for the need for government to address cases of human trafficking by ending illegal Migration which encourages the menace that has become a global problem, ravaging lives
During its 219th General Church Council (GCC) which brought together over 690 participants, the Church led by Archbishop Musa Panti Filibus PhD, also frowned at gender based violence, a social vice in which especially the female folk are dehumanized through respective immoral behaviors
While reflecting on key national challenges, including insecurity, economic hardship, poor education and health systems, the GCC observed that Nigeria citizens are ravaged by hunger and suggested the revitalization of Agriculture to boost food production
On faith-based matters, the Council affirmed that the Church will continue on the identity of Christ as it strives daily uphold the gospel of Christ which is the basis of the great commission
Part of the resolutions bothers on the need to groom children to productive youth towards a more robust Church and a better society and moved ahead to admonish government to create jobs among other skills acquisition for the youths
The Council conclusively re-appealed on the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bring those responsible for violence to justice and bring the bloodshed to end
The General Church Council of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria LCCN finally called on all Nigerians to hold firmly to hope and to trust in the unfailing faithfulness of God
