Adamawa CJ Storms Numan Federation, Releases 69 Inmates




The Chief Judge Adamawa State, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman on Wednesday, stormed Numan Federation and discharged a total of 69 inmates.



Equally, Justice Hafsat, reviewed the sentences of 34 inmates, convicted 8 and granted bail to 2 others.



While at Shelleng Satellite Custodial Facility, Justice Hafsat led Jail Delivery Committee, freed 6 inmates and reviewed the sentences of 15 others.



She discharged 52, admitted 2 to bail, reviewed the jail terms of 19 and convicted 8 others at Numan Correctional Facility and also discharged 11 and reviewed the sentences of 8 others from Guyuk Facility.



Several inmates were discharged while others had their sentences reviewed for the offences of criminal breach of trust, cheating, intimidation, theft, criminal force, or assault, criminal misappropriation, attempt to commit an offence among others.



The committee declined to entertain those convicted or awaiting trial for the alleged offences of kidnapping, shila gangsterism, culpable homicide, rape, trafficking among other capital offences.
