I Stole Phone and Sold it N2,000-Man Confesses in Adamawa



A young man identified as Mujahid Mohammed of Gurin community in Fufore LGA, Adamawa state has confessed stealing mobile phone of his friend and sold it N2,000.


Mujahid made the confession when he appeared before Adamawa State Jail Delivery Committee headed by the Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman.


The suspect was remanded at the Jimeta Custodial Centre in Yola, Adamawa State on the 10th October, 2025, by the Modire Area Court for the offence of theft.


The accused made away with the GSM mobile phone of his friend valued N15,000 and sold it N2,000 only.


He confessed committing the crime and pleaded for mercy, assuring that he will never commit crime again.


The committee convicted and sentenced him to community service for 3 months.
