ADHA Majority Leader Bags Best State Female Lawmaker Award
The Majority Leader Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Kate Raymond Mamuno, has bagged the best state female lawmaker award of the year 2025.
The best female lawmaker award was in recognition of the performance of Hon. Chief Kate Mamuno, who is representing Demsa Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
Hon. Chief Kate Mamuno was presented with the prestigious award by the National Assembly News (NASSNEWS) at the National Assembly Library Trust Fund Hall on Wednesday.
According to NASSNEWS, the ADHA female Legislator was selected to receive a legislative award as "Best State Female Lawmaker" in recognition of her outstanding contributions in the state as the only female lawmaker among the 25 members of ADHA.
According to the organisers, the Majority Leader had sponsored several important laws, complemented Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's effort in the education sector and youth/women empowerment, provided infrastructure and constituency development among others.
It disclosed that the recipients of award were assessed based on their sterling contributions to state and national development depending on their offices aimed at bettering the life of the masses.
The organisers explained that NASSNEWS is the number one newspaper covering the activities at the National Assembly and the 36 States House of Assemblies across Nigeria with a mission to bridge the gap between the parliament and the general public as well as facilitate genuine information and educate the masses about lawmakers' performance.
In her remarks shortly after receiving the award, Hon. Chief Kate Raymond Mamuno, said that she was delighted to be awarded as Best State Female Lawmaker, and appreciated the organisers of the event
She dedicated the award to all female lawmakers, saying that the country will not make a head way if it neglects women considering their significant role in the society.
She told the gathering that women have a lot in stock and can contribute enormously towards the progress of the country, saying that their active participation in politics will bring needed development in the country.
