Adamawa Assembly Confirms 3 Commissioner Nominees



Adamawa State House of Assembly on Monday, confirmed 3 commissioner nominees as requsted by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. News Platform 


The nominees include Sali Idris (Maiha LGA), Eng. Muhammed Suleiman ( Mubi North LGA), Chubado Mohammed (Jada LGA).


The nominees were screened and subsequently confirmed following their appearance before the plenary session presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. 


The Majority Leader of the assembly, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa Constituency) moved for the confirmation of the nominees and seconded by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Buba Mohammed Jidjiwa (Jada Mbulo).


After the confirmation, the Speaker, directed the Clerk to communicate the resolution of the assembly to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.


Earler, speaking during the screening of the nominee from Jada LGA, the Deputy Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Buba Muhammed Jidjiwa (Jada Mbulo), applauded the nomination of his constituent.


Rt. Hon. Jidjiwa, described Chubado as a man who has verse experience in federal civil service, saying that he had contributed tremendous in the development of the society more especially Ganye Chiefdom.


The Lawmaker told the assembly that giving him the opportunity to serve as commissioner will be of great benefit to the state, and expressed confidence in his capacity as member of the cabinet.


Rt. Hon. Jidjiwa used the opportunity and commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his wisdom in nominating Hon. Chubado Muhammed.


Also, in their separate comments when the Commissioner nominee from Mubi North appeared before the assembly, the Members representing Mubi North and Mubi South Constituencies, Hon. Paul Samuel, and Hon. Yohanna Sahabo Jauro, hailed the nomination of Eng. Muhammed Suleiman.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
