Just In: ADHA Receives List of Commissioner Nominees for Confirmation



Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, received 3 names of commissioner nominees for screening and subsequent confirmation. News Platform 


The nominees include Sali Idris (Maiha LGA), Eng. Muhammed Suleiman ( Mubi North LGA), Chubado Mohammed (Jada LGA).


The assembly also received the name of Iliya Gaji (Mubi North LGA) for screening and confirmation as member Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission.


The list of the nominees is contained in separate letters forwarded to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and read at the assembly by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley.


The Speaker directed the clerk to inform the nominees to appear along side their curriculum vitae before the assembly on Monthly, 9th March, 2026 for screening.

Breaking: Court Sends Gambo Nakura to Prison for Insulting Ribadu, Alisha Buhari, Others

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. Gambo Nakura was arraigned before the court for the offences of defamation of character, use of insulting and abusive language, disturbance of public peace and inciting disturbance contrary to sections 378, 379, 385 and 80 of the penal code law. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika.
