Song Lawmaker Sponsors 2 Bills on Tree Planting, Monitoring of Maternal Mortality



The Member representing Song Constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, has sponsored a bill for a law to provide for planting of trees in and around premises by individuals. News Platform 


The bill was floated to ensure that citizens engage in planting of trees in and around their premises, road sides, streets and government premises by the state and the LGAs.


The legislation which has been placed on "notice of the bill" was co-sponsored by the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley and 7 other lawmakers of the assembly.


Likewise, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, has sponsored a bill for a law to provide for the monitoring of maternal mortality in Adamawa state and other matters thereby to.


During Monday's sitting, the Member representing Song Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel, moved for the first reading of the bill and seconded by the member representing Ganye Constituency, Hon. Misa Musa.


The Speaker of the assembly, announced the first reading of the bill and directed Chairman Rules and Business of the assembly to schedule it for second at the next legislative day.
