Yola Appeal Court Affirms ADHA Lawmaker Misa Musa's Election



The Court of Appeal Yola Division on Monday, affirmed the election of the Member representing Ganye Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Misa Musa. News Platform 


The court affirmed the APC Lawmaker's election and dismissed the appeal filed before it by the Candidate of the PDP, Hon. Buba Mohammed Joda.


The court upheld the recent judgement of the Election Petition Tribunal in Yola, Adamawa state which struck out the petition instituted before it by Hon. Buba Joda.


Delivering judgement on the appeal, Hon. Justice Patricia Ajuma Mahmoud, dismissed the appeal for lack of merit and awarded the sum of N3million in favour of 1st and 2nd respondents against the appellants.


The judgement of the appeal court has put an end to the protracted legal battle for the exalted seat at the hallowed chamber.


During the sitting, A. T. Shehu Esq along side other counsels appeared for the appellant, while Abubakar Ali Esq and Iyono Paul Esq announced appearances for the 2nd and 3rd respondents respectively.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
