Senator Adamawa North Quits PDP, Cites Internal Crisis
The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Amos K. Yohanna, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Senator Amos said his decision to quit PDP becomes necessary considering internal crisis which has continued to rock the political party.
He said that he had resigned his membership after a meaningful consultation with his constituents, saying, " Today, I have officially resigned from my position as a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP)".
He added that in the process of deliberation, his constituents demonstrated strong unity and consensus, expressing their agreement to stand firmly behind in at the critical moment.
"Over time, the persistent internal crisis, unresolved conflicts, and lack of cohesion within the party have made it increasingly difficult for me to effectively contribute meaningfully to the growth and stability of the party", he stated.
He appreciated the opportunities, support, and cooperation he had enjoyed while being a member of the PDP, saying he is grateful to party leaders, colleagues, and supporters who stood by me during my stay in the party.
