His Royal Majesty, Homun Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismaila, CON, Kpawo Nomwe, Gilongo Diya, Hama Bachama and the Bachama Traditional Council have received with deep pains the sad news of the sudden and untimely demise of Chief Rodney Nathan (Ngra Batta), a respected and illustrious son of the Bwatiye nation.

Chief Rodney, was called to glory on the 3rd, January, 2023, and left behind very large footsteps in the sand of time the size of which will be very difficult to fill.

This is contained in a relase by the Chief Press Secretary to Hama Bachama, Anslem Kyauta, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM, on Saturday.

He was, until his death, the Chairman Nigerian Union of Teachers ( NUT) Adamawa State, Vice Chairman, Nigerian Labour Congress Adamawa State Chapter as well as the Regional leader, of the NUT for the 19 Northern States including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja

The Ngra Batta had in his lifetime, impacted people generally not only in Adamawa State but across the nation because of the very credible life he lived, and the numerous lives he touched especially as a very generous humanitarian, and as a true lover of the Bwaatiye people.

The zeal and commitment to service by late Chief Nathan, and his fervency for the welfare and development of teachers in general and education In particular, in Adamawa state, remains unequalled. Ngra Batta will be sorely and greatly missed by the Bachama and Batta chiefdoms

His Royal Majesty, Homun Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismaila (CON), (Kpawo Nomwe, Gilongo Diya), Hama Bachama and Chairman Bachama Traditional Council; and the Bwatiye community worldwide, are indeed saddened by the loss and equally bring sincere and deepest condolences.

The Monarch prays that as the remains of the late Chief is slated to be committed to the mother earth on January 10th 2022, God will grant the entire state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
