The embattled Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial District, Ishaku Abbo, has vowed to appeal the judgement of the State High Court which restrained him from re-contesting.
Senator Cliff, said he is optimistic that the Court of Appeal Yola, Division will quash the decision of the State High Court delivered by Hon. Justice Danladi Muhammed.
Justice Danladi, on Tuesday, sacked Senator Ishaku Abbo, declaring that he is not entitled to seek re-election because he had been expelled by his party.
He held that the Senator and APC are bound by the resolution of Mubi North LG Exco dated 7th October, 2022, which expelled him, declaring that Abbo, is not entitled to enjoy any right or privilege accorded to APC members.
Sen. Cliff, who is dissastified with the verdict of the court, has since instructed his Counsels to appeal the judgement for redress.
NEWS PLATFORM was reliably informed that about 8 Counsels in Yola, led by his Lead Counsel, Ever Odo esq, and host of others in Abuja and Lagos respectively have indicated interest contest the judgement at the appellate court.
The Senator who spoke to NEWS PLATFORM through his Lead Counsel, Ever Odo, said that their client had since instructed them to appeal the matter, and that they currently following necessary procedure to appeal the decision.
He stated that their client did not hold anything against the decesion of the trial court and appreciated it, saying that they are confident that the appellate court will look at the matter dispassionately and upturn it.
He appealed to the teeming supporters of their client to remain calm, supportive, hopeful while awaiting the possition of the Court of Appeal on the matter.
