Jimeta Area Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa state has ordered the remand of a 22 year old suspected "Shila" boy in prison custody.
The presiding judge, Hon. Muhammad Alamin Diya Lamurde, ordered the remand of the defendant after the was arraigned before him.
He subsequently adjourned the matter to the 2nd February, 2023 for hearing after the defendant's not guilty plea to the alleged offences as contained in the First Information Report.
The defendant, Abba Hassan of Jambutu Rumde Kila, Army Barracks road and a tricycle operator, was arrraigned before the court by the Prosecutor, Corpral Mohammed Ismail.
Abba, was allegedly nabbed in ppssession of dangerous weapons as well as an attempt to commit and offence known as "Shila" activities.
Cpl Ismail, told the court that the defendant was apprehended on the 18th January, 2023, by a patrol team and that 2 other suspected "Shila" boys had escaped arrest.
He informed the court that he has a witness to call in order to establish the alleged offences against the defendant.
