ATTACK: NUMAN LAWMAKER CONDOLES PDP WARD CHAIR, SEEKS IMMEDIATE ARREST OF ATTACKERS



Following Saturday attack which claimed a life in Numan LGA, the Member representing the constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, has sympathised with the Chairman PDP Numan III Ward over the attack.


The fresh attack left Hassan, one of the sons of the Chairman dead while the Chairman and his 2nd son sustained life threatening injuries and fractures and currently receiving treatment.


The lawmaker in his condolence message to the Ward Chair, other victims of the attack and his entire constituents, expressed rude shock over the fresh violent attack by herders on innocent farmers in his constituency. 


Rt. Hon. Mackondo, and former Deputy Speaker of ADHA had while commisserating with the family of Alh. Bello Bantakwa Kakanda, the Ward Chairman of PDP Numan III, strongly condemned the attack on his electorate and called for immediate arrest of the perpetrators.


He urged the security agencies and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led "Fresh Air Administration" not to allow the culprits go scot free, saying that the immediate arrest of the hoodlums and bringing them to justice will serve as deterrence to others.


He further appealed to the law enforcement agencies to raise up to their responsibilities and curtail such security threats, lamenting that the attack is coming at a time when his constituents are preparing for farming activities.


He said that as lawmaker representing Numan, he will not to allow herders to attack and kill his electorate without any provocation.


He called on his electorate particularly the youth to remain calm and law abiding and not to take laws into their own hands; instead, support the security agencies by furnishing them with relevant information.
