They also appealed to Governor Fintiri, to render medical assistance to the victims of Saturday, attack in Numan LGA, as well as directing all security agencies to swing into action to ensure the release of the Priest and apprehend perpetrators.
The lawmakers have also condemned in strong terms the attack on the Chairman of the PDP Numan III ward who is also the Vice Chairman Muslim Council of Nigeria Numan LGA branch, Alh. Muhammed Bello and his sons.
The attack which claimed the life of one of the sons of the Chairman, identified as Hassan Muhammed, left the Chairman and and his other son known as Gambo Muhammed severely wounded.
The resolution of the Hon. Members followed a matter of urgent public importance sponsored by the Member representing Numan constituency, Rt. Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo.
Earlier, the Numan lawmaker moved a motion which led to the suspension of House Standing Order 40 (1) and (2) after which he briefed the hallowed chamber on the issue of insecurity in his constituency.
Rt. Hon. Mackondo, informed them that on Saturday last week, the Chairman of the PDP and 2 of his children were attacked in his rice farm by some hoodlums, killing his son during the incident.
He said that the man and his children were patrolling his rice farm following cases of stealing of his farm produce by some criminals, narrating that the attackers stormed the farm between 12:00 to 1:00am and matcheted their victims.
The former Deputy Speaker of the assembly told his colleagues that Muhammed Bello is currently receiving treatment at Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital Yola.
He also intimated the Honourable House that in the wee hours of Tuesday, some unknown persons invaded Bare in his constituency and whisked away the Catholic Priest.
He used the opportunity and commiserated with Catholic Bishop Yola, Most. Rev. Stephen Dami Mamza, Catholic Church and the entire church in the state as well as Muslim Council Numan LGA and entire PDP family.
He prayed the assembly to impress on tbe Executive Governor to direct the security agencies to rescue the victim and bring the perpetrators to book.
He further prayed the assembly to urge the government to reach out to the victims of the attack with medical assistance.
Contributing on the motion, the Majority Leader of the assembly and member representing Demsa constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, sympthised with the Numan lawmaker and his entire constituents, describing the incidents as disheartening.
Hon. Kate Mamuno, said that the state had recorded reletive peace in recent time and noted with concern the resurgence of such attacks and kidnapping.
The female lawmaker said that no doubt Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, led "Fresh Air" administration is out to protect lives and property of its citizens, and urged all and sundry to take the matter of security seriously.
Speaking while presiding over the sitting, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, extended the lawmakers' words of comfort and sympathy to the victims of the attack and their families as well as Catholic church.
