The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Abdu Hamidu, accused of sexually assaulting his niece.
Abdu, 25-years old and hails from Kwakwa in Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State allegedly assaulted his nine-year-old Niece after luring her into his room.
A statement by the Command's Spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the suspect was arrested on the 4th May, 2024.
SP Nguroje said thst the arrest followed the complaint lodged to Police at Kala'a Division by the Father of the victim who happens to be a brother to the suspect.
He said investigation had revealed that the suspect lured the victim into his room, away from the eyes of people and had canal knowledge with her, assuring that the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
