ADHA Lawmaker Emmanuel Kefas Disburses N50million Cash to Constituents

The Member representing Song Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, has disbursed a total sum of N50million to his electorate across his constituency. The beneficiaries of the gesture, who cut across 11 political wards of Song constituency, smiled home with categories of amount of money allocated to them by the lawmaker. The constituency allowances which was disbursed to over 650 beneficiaries through Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), was aimed at empowering them to boost or set up small businesses. Speaking while flagging off the disbursement of the allowances to the beneficiaries at Presidential Lodge in Song LGA, Hon.   The Member representing Toungo constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Calvin Kefas, has disbursed cash to no fewer than 500 orphans across his constituency. Aside the cash disbursement, the Lawmaker has also donated wrappers/clothes to the orphans as well as N20,000 each to 70 women to boost their local businesses. Hon. Extortion: MAU Male Student Arrested for Parading Self as Female, Lesbian

A 500-Level Student of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa state, Paul John,  has been apprehended for allegedly creating fake social media accounts. The 24 years student who hails from Jiddel in Michika LGA, was nabbed for creating multiple social media accounts with alleged intention of extorting money. This is contained in a release by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje and made available to newsmen in Yola. The accused was alleged to have used the pictures of unsuspecting women without their consent on social media accounts he had created. An Upper Area Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State on Monday, docked an Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Adamawa State Command, Daniel Daniran David, over multiple allegations. The Majority Leader Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa Constituency), has sponsored a bill for a law to provide for Adamawa State Social Protection. The new bill has since been committed to the House Committee of Women Affairs and Social Development for further legislative action. The Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. ACF, UNDP Launch Community Initiative to Combat Erosion in Adamawa LGA

A new hope for environmental stability is taking root in the Gella community, Mubi South Local Government Area, Adamawa state as Alimat Care Foundation (ACF), in partnership with the UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme during the week launched a community-led initiative to combat severe soil erosion.   The "Indigenous Erosion Control through Climate-Smart Agricultural Process" project is transforming landscapes and empowering local residents to become stewards in protecting their own environment. ADHA Passes Bill for Appointment of Prince in Place of Incapacitated Emir, Chief

Adamawa State House of Assembly on Wednesday, passed a bill for a law to amend the Adamawa State Chiefs' appointments and deposition law no 20 of 2025 so as give powers to the Governor to appoint a prince from the ruling house to act in place of the incapacitated emir or chief during the period of Incapacitation. The passage of the bill followed the presentation, consideration and adoption of the report of the House Adhoc Committee on the bill headed by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, approved an external virement of the sum of N4.5billion for the payment of scholarship in respect of 100 students studying at various universities in Turkey. The approval was sequel to the consideration of the letter forwarded to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and read at the plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. In his letter, Governor appealed to the assembly to consider and approve the external virement to facilitate the payment of overseas scholarship and administrative charges in respect of the students. ADSU VC Commends Sen Amos Yohanna for Solar Street Lights Project

The Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, Prof. Augustine Clement, has commended Senator Amos K. Yohanna, representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, for the provision of solar street lights to the institution. In a letter addressed to the federal lawmaker, Prof. Clement described the intervention as a timely and impactful contribution to the university’s infrastructure. He noted that the installation of the solar street lights will not only illuminate the Abubakar Barde Campus but also significantly improved safety and security within the institution. “Your commitment to enhancing our infrastructure is truly commendable and highly appreciated. We will be honoured to have your continued support in the development of the institution,” the Vice Chancellor wrote.
