Senator Adamawa North Condemns Boko Haram Attack on Madagali Community



The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Amos K. Yohanna, has condemned in strong terms the attack by Boko Haram on Wagga Mangoro Community in Madagali LGA Adamawa state.


Boko Haram had launched an attack on Wagga Mangoro community in Madagali Local Government Area, which led to the tragic killing of 4 persons, abduction of several others, and wanton destruction of houses and places of worship.


Senator Amos described the attack as barbaric and senseless act, saying it is not only an assault on the peace-loving people of Madagali but also a direct attack on collective humanity and freedom and strongly condemned the heinous attack in its entirety.


"On behalf of the good people of Adamawa North Senatorial District, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and stand in solidarity with the survivors, the displaced, and the entire Madagali community during this difficult time.


"I call on the relevant security agencies to intensify efforts in tracking down the perpetrators of this evil act and to strengthen surveillance and protection for our border communities that have remained vulnerable to such attacks.


"Let us not be discouraged by the darkness of terror, for the resilience of our people has always shone brighter. Together, we will overcome", Distinguished Senator Amos prayed.


Senator Amos K. Yohanna prayed God to comfort the families of the victims and grant peace in the land as well as rest to the souls of the departed.
