ADHA Lawmaker Disburses Cash to 500 Orphans, 70 Women

 


The Member representing Toungo constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Calvin Kefas, has disbursed cash to no fewer than 500 orphans across his constituency.


Aside the cash disbursement, the Lawmaker has also donated wrappers/clothes to the orphans as well as N20,000 each to 70 women to boost their local businesses.


Hon. Calvin disbursed the cash during a special dinner programme he had organised for the orphans drawn from 5 political wards in Toungo constituency recently.


He said he has orphans who stay with him and seen how some orphans suffer even in getting what to eat, saying that some orphans are in safer hands while others are in wrong hands.


He said that he decided to call and dine with them so that they will know that he is part of them and for them to also feel the impact of his representation.


He disclosed that he has a plan on how to sponsor some of them that really want to go to school from secondary to tertiary institutions, assuring that he will try to support them even after leaving the assembly.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
