Just In: ADHA Passes Bill to Establish College of Tech, Innovation Gulak



Adamawa State House of Assembly on Monday, passed a bill for a law to establish the Adamawa State College of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Studies Gulak, Madagali LGA. News Platform 


The institution, if finally established, is expected to impart technological, innovation and entrepreneurship training to students across the state.


The passage of the bill followed the consideration of the report of the House Committee on Education earlier presented by the Chairman of the Committee and Member representing Uba/Gaya constituency, Hon. Adum John Alaba.


A motion for the 3rd reading of the bill was sponsored by the Majority Leader and Member representing Demsa Constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno and seconded by the Member representing Michika constituency, Hon. Moses Yerima Zah.


After the third reading of the bill, the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, who presided the plenary, directed the clerk to prepare a clean copy of the bill for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's assent.


Speaking on the merits of the bill, the Member representing Madagali constituency, Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri, said that he was happy with the passage of the bill which according to him will develop youth not only in Madagali but Adamawa state and beyond.


Hon. Jilantikiri said that the institution will equip youth with needed innovation, Entrepreneurship and technological knowledge not only in his constituency but across Adamawa state and beyond.


The lawmaker explained that the institution is for the development of Adamawa State in general and commended his colleagues for their support towards its enactment.


He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for sponsoring the bill which according to him will benefit citizens around the state, and described it as a welcome development.
