ADHA Passes Vote of Confidence on Fintiri for "Excellent Performance"
Adamawa State House of Assembly on Thursday, passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his administration's excellent performance in critical sectors.
The assembly passed a vote of confidence on the Governor Fintiri shortly after he presented the whooping sum of N583billion budget estimates for the services of the state in 2026.
The passage of the vote of confidence followed the appraisal of the Governor's performance by the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, while presiding over the sitting.
Rt. Hon. Bathiya said that according to their findings which is also visible to all citizens, Governor Fintiri had performed excellently well in the implementation of 2025 approved budget.
He said, some of the projects executed include construction of flyovers, super high way along Numan road, construction of new Governors office at the Government House, renovation of Government House gate, construction of Jimeta Ultra Modern shopping mall, construction of Yola market.
Others according to him, include the construction of amusement park, renovations of High Court complex, construction of international Conference Centre, AA Lawal flyover and completion of Housing Estate at malkohi with road network and water reticulation within the estate, Others are Michika Kamale road, Sukur road, three bridges at wuro Ngayandi, Shuwa Palm road and Mubi Maiha road among others.
He said that some of the projects have been completed while others undergoing execution, saying that the Governor had demonstrated a leadership with difference in the history of the state.
According to him, the Governor had impacted positively in critical sectors including roads, healthcare delivery service, education, agriculture, rural development, water as well as empowerment of citizens and stabilization of security among others.
He noted that Fintiri is the only Governor in the country who received 3 different awards from two Presidents of different political party with him.
He said that the Governor had accorded priority to welfare of the civil servants by prompt payment of salaries and other entitlements and commended him for lifting the embergo for the employment of the teeming youth.
While moving a motion for the passage of the confidence vote, the Member representing Guyuk constituency, Hon. Sunday Peter, hailed the performance of the Governor in critical sectors.
Hon. Sunday Peter motion for the vote of confidence become imperative considering what he described as outstanding performance of Fintiri.
Speaking on the motion, the Majority Leader of the assembly and Member representing Demsa Constituency constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, described the Governor as gender friendly Governor and applauded his performance in other sectors.
