Budget Defence: ADHA Security C'ttee Hosts Fintiri's SSA on SDGs



Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and Focal Person Sustainable Development Goals Adamawa state, Muhammed Alfa Raji, on Friday, appeared before Adamawa State House Committee on Security and SDGs and defended 2026 budget.


SSA Raji along side the Project Manager and Staff of the organisation were received at the assembly by the Chairman of the Committee on Security and Member representing Song constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas.


In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the committee, said that the budget defence is an annual event aimed scrutising what the executive arm presented before the legislature.


Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, said that the exercise is constitutionally stipulated to enable lawmakers scrutinise the budget for good governance.


The Lawmaker stated that they have seen how the state is making progress in critical sectors and attributed same to cordial relationship between the legislature and the executive arm.


He explained that whatever they will discuss during the event will be in the interest of the state, and thanked them for honouring the committee's invitation.


Responding, the SSA to the Governor and Focal Person SDGs, Muhammed Alfa Raji, appreciated the committee for the warm reception accorded to them.


He reaffirmed the commitment of the SDGs towards the implementation of the 2026 budget in line with Governor Fintiri led administration, and commended the successful presentation of the budget.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
