Suspend and Prosecute Soldiers who Killed our Women-PDBDA Tells Army
The Pene Da Bwatiye Development Association (PDBDA) Worldwide has condemned in strong terms the shooting and killing 7 women in Lamurde LGA Adamawa state.
However, the Development Association has called on the Nigerian Army to identify, suspend its personnel who allegedly killed 7 innocent women in the LGA.
This is contained in a release signed by the General Secretary, Mr. Emmannuel Pwakavi Bapatu and made available to newsmen.
"We demand a transparent, independent judicial panel of inquiry-comprising respected civil society leaders, human rights experts, and judicial officials-to investigate this specific massacre the broader security failures in this conflict. Its findings andrecommendations must bemade public.
"We demand the immediate redeployment ofthe current army units in the area and their replacement wth vetted,disciplined forcesunderk clear and public mandate toprotect civilians and property, not terrorize them.
"We call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Governor of AdamawaState,and the Chief of Defence Staff to act within the next 72 hours to initiate these steps.The world is watching. Our grief is Immense, but our resolve for justice is absolute", he stated.
