Speaker Bathiya Preaches Peace, Love, Unity at Christmas
The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, has extended a warm greetings to the citizens as Christians in the state join the rest of the world commemorating birth of Jesus Christ.
Rt. Hon. Bathiya in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hyellamada Bernard said Christmas is a season that reminds faithful of the enduring values of love, peace, sacrifice, and unity.
"It is a time to reflect on the importance of living together in harmony, showing compassion to one another, and strengthening the bonds that unite us as one people, regardless of our religious or ethnic differences.
The Speaker commended the resilience, patience, and cooperation of the people of Adamawa State, especially in the face of economic and social challenges.
He reassured citizens of the continued commitment of the Adamawa State House of Assembly to enacting people-oriented laws, promoting good governance, and supporting policies that will improve the welfare and development of the state.
Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley called on residents to use the festive season to pray for lasting peace, security, and continue progress in the State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that a hand of fellowship should be extended to neighbours and to the less privileged in the spirit of the season.
