Sen Amos Celebrates Christmas with Electorate, Visits Paramount Rulers
The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Amos K. Yohanna, has joined hundreds of his constituents in celebrating 2025 Christmas.
The Distinguished Senator and his entourage marked the birth of Jesus Christ with other worshippers at the Church of Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) -LCC Futuless in Michika Local Government Area in the state.
He was joyfully received by the leadership of the church and other worshippers, who commended him for his decision to come and celebrate Christmas with them.
According to him, his decision was aimed at celebrating Christmas with cross section of his electorate while wishing them merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
It could be recalled that Senator had recently distributed 5,000 bags of rice, 1,000 cartons of spaghetti, 200 bags of sugar, 500 cartons of cooking oil, 500 pieces of wrappers, 500 pieces of men’s clothing materials and 500 pieces of children’s wears in the spirit of Christmas to cross of his electorate across Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha LGAs.
During the festive period, Senator Amos joined his counterpart of the Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas, in paying courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ali Danburam and Mbege Ka Michika, Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga at their respective palaces.
The visit was aimed at fostering unity, strengthening cordial relationships, and engaging in discussions on issues of mutual interest concerning peace, development, and the overall wellbeing of the Madagali Chiefdom.
He said, "I joined my colleague, Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, in paying homage to the revered Paramount Traditional Institution Leader (PTIL) of Madagali, Dr. Ali Danburam and the respected Mbege Ka Michika, Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga as part of my continued engagement with custodians of culture and community leadership in Adamawa North Senatorial District.
"The visit was a personal expression of deep respect for the enduring institution of traditional governance and its invaluable role in sustaining unity, peace, and grassroots development.
At both palaces, our reception reflected the warmth, dignity, and moral authority that traditional leadership embodies. I remain persuaded that democratic representation is most effective when it walks hand-in-hand with cultural institutions, whose voices carry history, legitimacy, and the trust of the people.
While receiving the delegation, the Royal Fathers, expressed appreciation for their visit and applauded them for their commitment to the progress of their senatorial districts.
Meanwhile, some Stakeholders including Alhaji Bala Charisma, alongside Hon. Saadu Monduva, have paid a courtesy visit to Sen. Rev.Amos Yohanna at his residence in Mubi North LGA and pledged their unwavering support and loyalty to the Senator.
