New Year: Bathiya Congratulates Citizens, Harps on Peace, Unity
The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, has extended warm new year greetings to the citizens, describing it as a season of renewed hope, unity, and collective responsibility.
The Speaker in a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Hyellamada Bernard congratulated the citizens for witnessing the beginning of the year 2026 under peaceful atmosphere.
He thanked the people of the state for their continued support, cooperation, and trust in the fresh air administration and the state House of Assembly under his leadership.
He lauded the resilience, patience, and peaceful coexistence demonstrated by citizens despite economic and social challenges experience in the out gone year 2025.

The Speaker on behalf of his colleagues reaffirmed the commitment of the Adamawa State House of Assembly to enacting people oriented laws, strengthening democratic governance, and supporting policies that promote development, security, and social Welfare of citizens across the state.
He called on their electorate to embrace peace, unity and mutual understanding, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective effort and shared responsibility.
While wishing the citizens a prosperous new year, Rt. Hon. Bathiya urged citizens to continue supporting government’s initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
He called on the people of the state to continue to pray for leaders and the state at large.
