GOMBI LGC BOSS DENIES RUMOURS OF RESIGNATION

Hon. Dimas Shekel, Executive Chairman Gombi LGC, Adamawa State

Executive Chairman Gombi Local Government Council in Adamawa state, Hon. Dimas Shekel has denied rumours making round on social media that he has resigned.

Hon. Shekel described the rumours as untrue and a calculated attempt to discredit and smear his image, saying that the rumours emanated from mischief makers and however dismissed it in its entirety

A statement by the Information Officer of the LGC, Mr. Morrison Istifanus and made available to newsmen in Yola, the Adamawa state capital Wednesday, urged the general public to disregard the information as today is "April Fools' Day"

According to the Chairman, he was voted massively by Gombi electorate so as to provide them with dividends of democracy, saying that he is striving assiduously to meet the yearnings and aspirations of his citizens.

He posited that his concern at the moment is not about resignation, but how to complement the efforts of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led administration in providing good governance to the people at the grassroots.

The LGC Boss explained that he remains committed to the service of Gombi people, and that he and his team are working hard to deliver on their campaign promises.

He added that he never thought of resignation and that he does not want anybody to distract his attention from his official responsibility, saying he is the Executive Chairman of Gombi LGC and God's willing, he will continue to remain until the end of his tenure.

While commending Governor Fintiri for his commitment towards developing the state, Hon. Dimas Shekel called on his supporters to rally round the present administration to enable it succeed in delivering on its mandate.
