Honourable member representing Yola North constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Hamidu Sajoh Lekki has sent hearty congratulations to Muslims in Yola North and around Adamawa on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.
Hon. Lekki in a message sent to NEWS PLATFORM in Yola Sunday, wished Muslims faithful a fruitful Ramadan fast with all the accomplishing blessings.
He further enjoined them to use the period and engage in sober reflection and absolute return to Allah, urging them to consecrate their spirit, soul and body, in total submission to Allah.
Felicitating with Muslims on the start of the Ramadan fast, Hon. Lekki who is also the Chairman House Standing Committee on Health and Human Services said they should not see the month as one of mere mandatory prayer and fasting but engage in total abstinence and sincere repentance from their sins.
He urged them to fervently pray for Yola North, Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole for divine intervention taking into cognisance how Covid -19 is spreading like Hamattan fire, noting that this period calls for collective and individual prayers for the end of the killer disease.
He assured them of his continued commitment to representing them well, and further wished them a blessed Ramadan.
