ADAMAWA CP SALUTES NIGERIA AT 60, TASKS OFFICERS ON SECURITY

 


The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa state Police Command, CP Olugbenga Adeyanju, has felicitated with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the citizens on the 60th anniversary of Nigeria as an independent nation.


The CP, in a statement by the Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO), DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM on Thursday, wished the Governor and the entire citizens happy celebration.


However, the Police Boss has ordered for a 24hr surveillance and deployment of security operatives across the state in order to forestall any breach of peace, and tasked officers and men of the command to ensure hitch-free celebrations.


He urged on citizens to go about their celebrations without any fear or apprehension, noting that the Divisional Police officers and their Supervisory Area Commanders have been directed to ensure the safety and security of the general public.


According to him, the Strategic Officers will strengthen the visibility policing structure and carry-out confidence building patrols particularly around residential areas, major highways and Government/Private infrastructures to prevent and arrest any ugly situation.


CP Olugbenga Adeyanju, appealed to the people of the state to continue in supporting the Police and other security agencies in their efforts towards ensuring peaceful coexistence, public safety, public order and public security.
