Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has forwarded about 3 different draft bills to the State House of Assembly for consideration and possible enactment.
The draft bills include; a bill for a law to establish the State University (ADSU), Mubi and the repeal of Law number 10 of 2001, and a draft bill for a law to provide for Road Traffic Administration and make provisions for Road Traffic and Vehicle Inspection in Adamawa State.
Other draft bill for consideration by Honourable Members is a bill for a law to provide for the establishment of the State Transport Board and to provide for the management, operation of Urban, Intra- State, Inter-State and International Transport Services.
Governor Fintiri in 3 separate letters dated 30th September and 15th October, 2020, and addressed to the Speaker of the hallowed chamber, appealed to the Legislators to legislate on the legislation in the interest of the State.
The letters were read at the resumed plenary session on Monday by the Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, who presided over the sitting.
NEWS PLATFORM reports that the Governor has sent the draft bill on ADSU Mubi with both the hard and soft copies of the bill to the Honourable House for necessary legislative action.
