The road is linking Shuwa-Kala'a-Dilwachira-Yadafa-Buladega in Kulinyi, Yadafa and Vokna Pakka Districts in Hong, Mubi South and Maiha LGAs.

More importantly, some major communities that would benefit from the road if rehabilitated include; Dilwacira, Hosere zum, Garari, Mombul and Kwakwaah in Hong LGA.

Others are; Nassarawo, Mbalagi, Naddere, Humburudi and Vokna in Maiha LGA, and Mojengo Hudu, Mbilla- Yadafa, Muchami, Dubu Dubu, Kwadankin, and Kagi'i in Mubi South LGA.

The communities sought for the rehabilitation/ construction of the rural road during courtesy visit on the Speaker and other members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation who is the District Head of Yadafa, Alh. Abubakar Bello Galadima, appealed to the Speaker and other lawmakers to champion their course particularly on the road Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's intervention.

According to him, the road holds significant economic importance, serving as a vital road for the transportation of agricultural produce, facilitating the movement of people, enhancing security and boosting a rich historical legacy.

He said that it will also serve as an important bypass for the transportation of cattle from the new International Cattle Market in Mubi as well as diverting traffic from the congested Mubi Mararraba - Yola Road, explaining that it will also reduce the occurrence of accidents along the road.

He added that the road is a shorter and more efficient road to Yola, from Mubi, and that its rehabilitation would not only enhance connectivity between the 3 districts but also increase revenue, and foster regional economic growth and development.

"Regrettably, the current state of the road renders it impassable during the rainy season, severely limiting its usage only in the dry season. This does not only obstructs the smooth flow of goods and services but also hampers socio-economic activities in the affected areas.

"We respectfully appeal to the government to kindly prioritise the rehabilitation and construction of the road. We believe that it could be effectively executed through initiatives such as the Rural Access Mobility Programme (RAMP) or other viable alternatives," he stated.

He congratulated Governor Fintiri, on his victory at the supreme court and commended him for his commitment to the progress and prosperity of the state, saying that the state has witnessed remarkable advancements across various sectors, marking a significant milestone in their collective journey toward development.

Responding, the Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, thanked the delegation for the visit and their congratulatory message to the Governor and also thanked them for identifying with him.

Rt. Hon. Bathiya explained that as legislators they do not award contracts but assured of the readiness ofvthe assembly to champion the course of the communities.

He further assured them of their maximum support towards the realisation of their dream for the road, saying that the road affects several members of assembly.
