ADAMAWA POLICE RAISE ALARM OVER INCREASING CAR SNATCHING



The police in Adamawa state have alerted residents to the rising incidence of car theft in Yola North, Yola South and Girei LGAs. News Platform 


A statement by the spokesman of the State Police Command, SP,Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that their daily situation reports indicated an increased in car snatching and theft in Jimeta, Yola South and Girei LGAs.


According to him, to stem the ugly trend, the command shall be embarking on vigorous checks in the affected areas which may result in slow traffic flow. 


"The Commissioner of Police therefore appealed to motorists for their understanding as the action is in the interest of their safety and security," Nguroje explained. 


The statement appealed to the general public to call the Command's Control Room on 08089671313, in case of emergency for necessary action.
