Adamawa State House of Assembly on Monday, passed a bill for a law to amend Adamawa State College of Health Technology Law 2018. News Platform
The passage of the bill followed its 3rd reading at the resumed plenary session presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley.
The bill was enacted sequel to a motion to that effect by the Member representing Demsa constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno and seconded by Hon. Moses Yerima Zah of Michika constituency respectively.
The 2 lawmakers had while sponsoring the motion, urged their colleagues to consider the significance of the bill and pass it in the interest of the general public.
After the 3rd reading of the bill, the Speaker of the hallowed chamber, directed the clerk to the assembly to prepare a clean copy of the bill for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's assent.
It could be recalled that Governor Fintiri sometimes last year directed the immediate relocation of the college from Mubi to Michika its permanent site during a meeting with Heads of Tertiary Institutions at in his office in Government House, Yola.
It order to support his directives with legal backing, the Governor forwarded a draft bill to that effect and urged the assembly members to consider it for enactment.
