Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 42 years old man for raping his 9 years old daughter thinking it was his wife. News Platform
The suspect, Auwalu Shuaibu, who hails from Kabang in Mubi, confessed to defiling his daughter on his return from a joint.
The Spokesman of the police command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Ngurore said that the suspect was arrested on the 11th March, 2024.
Narrating the incident at the police headquarters in Yola on Thursday, Auwalu, said that he had actually defiled his daughter on that fateful day after he had returned from a joint at Gizga.
He said that they went out to supply wielding materials with friend known as Bashiru, and that his friend took him to the joint and drank hot drink known as whiskey.
He said that after they drank beer, his friend took him to a cattle market and bought some hard drugs for him which consumed.
He narrated that he returned back around 6:00pm, and slept off, saying that when he woke up in the morning, he saw his daughter naked beside him thinking to be his wife.
Auwalu, regretted his action, saying that he has since repented from drinking beer and consuming illicit substances.
The Spokesman of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Ngurore, said that the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, ordered for discreet investigation into the matter and the prosecution of the suspect.
