The Member representing Numan constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, has sent his greetings and best wishes to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as well as Muslim community in his constituency as they commenced Ramadan fast.
Hon. Mackondo and former Deputy Speaker of the assembly, in a statement in Yola, rejoiced with his Muslim colleagues, State Executive Council, Muslim Ummah in his constituency as well as across the state for the successful commencement of Ramadan fast.
The Legislator said that fasting is not just meant for them to stay hungry or thirsty, but an opportunity for them to strive for inner purification and self-accountability.
He enjoined them to increase their love for humanity, acts of charity, kindness, generosity, and gratitude, as well as pray for Allah's intervention in the hardship confronting Nigerians.
He called on Muslims and all Nigerians to always remember the less privileged than themselves and to help the government in confronting the challenges facing the state and nation in general.
He further urged Muslims to use the Ramadan to renew their commitments to the virtues of love and peace, and also work towards achieving them.
Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo prayed Allah to grant all Muslims the strength to successfully complete the fasting period.
