GOOD NEWS AS SEN IYA ABBAS' BILL FOR NATIONAL EYE CENTRE JIMETA SCALES 1ST READING



Relief may soon come to the inhabitants of Adamawa state and beyond as a bill for the establishment of National Eye Centre Jimeta sponsored by the Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas, scaled 1st reading. News Platform 


The newly floated legislation is tagged, "National Eye Centre, Jimeta, Adamawa State (Establishment) Bill, 2024 (SB. 524)" is seeking to establish and bring National Eye Centre closer to the people at the grassroots.


Senator Iya Abbas' bill scaled 1st reading at Wenesday, plenary session presided by the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin. He thereafter announced the 1st reading of the bill which is expected to be scheduled for 2nd reading.


The eye centre if finally established will provide and increase accessibility to quality eye services to patients in Adamawa State and beyond who have since been yearning for such a centre.
