Adamawa Police Vow to Enforce 24hr Curfew Declared on Lamurde LGA
Adamawa State Police Command on Saturday vowed enforce the 24 hour curfew declared on Lamurde LGA by the state government.
The 24-hour curfew declared by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri followed violent attacks and breach of peace in some communities in Lamurde LGA.
The Police Command in a release signed by SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje advised the general public particularly those in Lamurde LGA, to respectfully comply with such order and stay indoors in order to prevent further break down of law and order.
SP Nguroje said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, had deployed more operational assets of the command at the areas to monitor compliance and enforce the curfew using all legal means.
According to him, the command in collaboration with sister security agencies while respecting the rights of the citizens equally enjoyed them to avoid all forms of action capable of threatening the security in the area.
He pointed out that the Command will not in any where allow hoodlums and misguided elements to operate unchallenged, despite security agents operates in such a way of not using force to create scenario that will lead to lost of live while enforcing the curfew.
