Man Stabs Father to Death during Quarrel in Adamawa



Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a middle age man identified as Idi Buba for stabbing his biological father to death.


According to a release by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the suspct killed his father during quarrel in Fotta Community, Gombi LGA.


He said that Idi Buba had attacked his father, Buba Jelli by stabbing him in the neck and back with a knife, during a domestic altercation.


He explained that the victim was immediately rushed to the Primary Health Care Center in Fotta, and died while receiving treatment.


The suspect according to him was arrested at the scene of the crime, and recovered the knife which he had used in attacking the victim and also recovered the weapon which will be treated as an exhibit.


He said that the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, had condemned the attack, and urged citizens to always exercise restraint, avoid taking law into their hands, and seek peaceful means in resolving conflicts.



He stated that investigation is ongoing, and assured that the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
