Sen Iya Abbas Felicitates with Fintiri on Doctorate Award.



Senator representing Adamawa central senatorial district, Aminu Iya Abbas, has congratulated the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on his conferment with Doctor of Science (D.Sc) Honoris Causa in Public Administration by the prestigious University of Port Harcourt. 


Iya Abbas in a statement through his media office in Yola, described the honour done to the "Fresh Air" Governor as heartwarming and a recognition of his sundry contributions to democratic development and nation-building. 


Abbas, who is also the Senate Committee Chairman on Innovation, Science and Technology, described the award as a testament to Fintiri’s commitment towards transforming various sectors including education in the state.


The Senator while describing the award as well deserved enumerated some of the projects of the Governor which among others includes; the ongoing construction of Smart Schools for experiential learning, said it will serve as a conducive learning environment for children. 


He explained that, the recognition is not just for the Governor, but for the state and the country at large. Which according to him It reflects his unrelenting pursuit of knowledge and his contributions to building a more informed, just, and inclusive society. 


Senator Iya Abbas also prayed that the Almighty Allah would continue to bless him and his family with good health, strength, and wisdom as they continue to serve Nigeria and humanity with grace and dignity.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
