Sen Amos Yohanna Condoles Govt, Victims of Yola Flooding
Following a devastating flooding which claimed lives as well as properties in Yola South LGA, the Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Amos K. Yohanna, has commiserated with the Adamawa State Government as well as the victims of the natural disaster.
Senator Amos, on his behalf and his entire electorate across Adamawa North Senatorial District, sympathised with more especially those who lost their loved ones, houses as well as other properties.
"I write on behalf of the good people of Adamawa North to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Yola South LGA over the unfortunate flood disaster which occurred following the torrential rainfall that lasted for several hours.
He stated that the news of of lost of lives, properties, and many displacement of the residents by the flooding is deeply saddening.
"At this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with the affected families and communities. I mourn with those who lost loved ones, and I stand in solidarity with all who are grappling with the painful aftermath of this tragedy.
"Natural disasters such as this not only test our resilience but also remind us of the urgent need to strengthen our preparedness and mitigation strategies.
"To the people of Yola South: take heart and remain strong. You are not alone in this moment of grief", Distinguished Senator Amos lamented.
He prayed Almighty God to grant eternal rest to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the injured and the displaced.
