ADHA EX-SPEAKER COMPLEMENTS FINTIRI's EFFORT IN EDUCATION SECTOR

As part of efforts towards complementing Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's commitment to promoting the standard of education in the state, the former Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa has renovated blocks of classrooms and office in Damare Nursery and Primary School, Yola Town.

According to the former speaker and current member representing Yola south constituency, his decision to renovate the school was aimed at complementing Gov Fintiri led administration's in effort most especially in the area of education.

The legislator said the condition of some public schools in his constituency was worrisome, hence the need to do his part in renovating some of them.

Speaking while commissioning the blocks of classroom, the former speaker said that the renovation was part of the promises he made to the people of his constituency, while canvassing for their votes during 2019 electioneering campaigns, pledging to lobby for more developmental projects in his constituency.

He said his concern is to ensure that people of his constituency reap more dividends of democracy through people oriented projects.

He commended Governor Fintiri's effort in repositioning schools in Adamawa state, and promised that he would continue to support education to ensure that students study in a conducive atmosphere.

In his remark the Chairman Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Rodney Nathan represented by comrade Faisal Muhammad commended the lawmaker for his contributions towards uplifting the standard of education, urged him to maintained the tempo.

In their separate comments, the Chairman Yola South Local Government Council represented by Councillor representing Makama 'A' katuka Yerima and the district head of Yola Alhaji Muhammad Ahmed Mustapha saluted the Lawmaker for his concern towards ensuring that his constituents reap the dividends of democracy through people oriented programs describing education as the best legacy to leave for children.
