HON. MAMUNO ORGANISES FOOTBALL COMPETITION FOR CONSTITUENTS

The member representing Demsa Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Mrs Kate Raymond Mamuno has advised the Youth in the ten political wards in her Constituency to live in peace and harmony in order to attract the much needed development.

Mrs Mamuno made the called Saturday Flagging off a football competition she organised to ten political wards in Demsa Constituency tagged "Kate Football League holding at Demsa football field.

The lawmaker while describing the football tournament as laudable, said sports all over the world is about creating a sense of belonging, an avenue for peace and advancement, which help to unite people of diverse ethnic groups adding that the competition is aim to foster unity, peace and togetherness amongst the Demsa Youths

She added that, she believe strongly in the capacity of the youths to contribute meaningfully to development and can only happen when they come together in unity of purpose.

While appreciating the people of Demsa for the peace being enjoyed in the area, Mrs Kate admonished them to sustain it and shun violence and other vices that stand as impediment to the development and embrace peaceful coexistence as brothers.

She also commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his giant stride towards carrying Youths alone in his transformation agenda especially the establishment of enterprenuership development ministry and given much needed attention to the state ministry of Youth and sports.

According to Kate Mamuno the Governor Fintiri led administration in Adamawa is committed and refocusing its attention towards peace building,sustainable development, youths and women, Infrastructural development among other people oriented Projects.

Speaking separately during the kick off of the tournament the Chairman Local Organising Committee, team managers and other sports enthusiast commended the lawmaker for coming up with the gesture which they said will contribute positively towards uniting the teaming youths in the area.

The first leg of the matches which was played between the Demsa and Dong wards ended zero-zero.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by the members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, commissioners, People's Democratic Party PDP and All Progressives Congress APC Stalwarts among other sports enthusiasts.
