Adamawa State Police Command has displayed an abandoned Toyota Starlet car, appealing to real owner to come and claim it.
The Police Command in a release by its Spokesman, DSP Suleiman Yayaha Nguroje, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM on Friday, said that the Command recovered the Toyota Starlet with registration No. AG 836 JMT along Army Barracks road in Yola North Local Government Area.
DSP Nguroje, added that the Command recovered the vehicle on the 15th December, 2020, explaining that it had been abandoned by a driver who involved in a minor motor accident.
According to him, in order escape an arrest, the driver of the vehicle went into hiding and could not surface since then.
He disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, is calling on the public particularly those who had their vehicle missing or stolen to report to Police Central Motor Traffic Division (MTD) with original proof of ownership to identify and claim it.
DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, however reiterated the commitment of the Command to safeguarding lives and property of the citizens.
