GOMBI LGC BOSS REVERSES THE APPOINTMENT OF 5 SUPERVISORY COUNCILLORS



The Executive Chairman Gombi Local Government Council, Adamawa State, Hon. Dimas Shekel, has just reversed the appointment of 5 Supervisory Councillors sworn-in recently.


Hon. Dimas, however reinstated the 5 Supervisory Councillors he had removed from office with immediate effect.


This followed an order by Hon. Simon Isa (Song) led Ad Hoc Committee on Investigation of Petition filed by 6 out of 10 Councillors of Gombi LGC against the Chairman.


It could be recalled that the Chairman had last week dissolved the Supervisory Councillors and sworn-in new Supervisory Councillors without approval of the Legislative Council.

The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika. Court Dismisses Rep Baba Zango's Land Suit against Gov Fintiri

A Yola High Court in Adamawa State on Tuesday, dismissed a land suit instituted by the Member representing Yola North, Yola South and Girei at the House of Representatives, Hon. Abubakar Baba Zango against Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. News Platform  Hon. Baba Zango and the Estate of Late Jika Paris dragged, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Ministry of Land and Survey, Attorney General and the Commissioner Ministry of Land and Survey challenging the revocation of a piece of land. The piece of land in contention is situated opposite Yola International Airport along Numan Road in the state capital and it is popularly known as Muhammadu Buhari Square.
